Speaker enclosures for ScanSpeak Discovery drivers
The enclosures were made to special order according to the schematics provided by the customer.
However, the design of the enclosures underwent minor modifications during the process due to the need to adjust its structure to obtain the desired parameters.
Bass-Reflex type enclosures, with target dimensions of 100x18x26 cm and net capacity of 62L, are made of 18 mm MDF board. Each box has two additional rib reinforcements.
The internal damping consists of a bituminous mat and a 15-millimeter thick felt mat placed on it. After installing the previously delivered crossover, the housings were additionally filled with 50 mm thick synthetic wool.
The enclosures are covered with wooden veneer in the Sicilian walnut variety, with a very nice pattern and wide, extensive grain.
High-quality, English hard oil wax was used for finishing and it beautifully brought out the depth and color of the veneer.
