MBM-2L-BP audio platform
MBM-2L-BP - is another model of the display / isolation platform made partialy of exotic wood - Asian MERBAU. It differs slightly in form, finish and assembly solutions from the similar appearance of the HMBM-03-A model.
The assembly basis is a milled HDF board with a thickness of 25 mm, finished with white polyurethane varnish. The main table top is made of exotic solid wood - Asian MERBAU, which is an exceptionally attractive material due to its very high hardness and resistance to light mechanical stimuli as well as rich colors and interesting grain.
Between the main table top and the basis there is a 2 mm thick distance mat made of high-density cork mass.
The table top has been finished with deeply penetrating Danish oil and several layers of hard, hygrophobic wax, polished to a delicate satin texture.
As the standing base for the platform serves 4 massive feet, 50 mm in diameter and 20 mm high, specially lathed of solid brass. The feet have protective inserts made of cork mass, fixed on both sides, to prevent possible damage to lower part of the HDF basis and the surface on which the platform may stand.
