An audio equipment rack, custom-made to meet the client's individual specifications, is a perfect example of blending aesthetics with functionality.
Its openwork, three-tier construction was carefully designed to meet the client’s specific requirements while introducing a modern element into the interior.
Several key modifications were taken into account during the design process to optimize space and ensure proper ventilation for the audio equipment. The top shelf, which ultimately supports a heavy turntable, was widened to comfortably accommodate additional accessories such as a reading lamp. This approach not only enhances the rack's functionality but also highlights its refined appearance.
All frame elements are made from laminated plywood beams with a 60x60 mm cross-section, ensuring the structure’s stability and durability.
The carefully chamfered 45-degree edges add a touch of elegance, while hidden joints help maintain a clean form and uninterrupted visual design.
The unconventional shelves, made from laminated plywood combined with transparent polycarbonate, introduce a modern accent while allowing audio equipment to be beautifully showcased. The material’s transparency gives the rack a visually lightweight appearance, while still remaining structurally solid.
The entire construction is finished with high-quality, Italian transparent wood oil, which not only enhances the natural beauty of the material but also protects it from damage and scratches. This finish makes the rack not only functional but also visually appealing and durable.
