This project was created on special request of a regular customer from the USA. Its concept was born mainly for aesthetic reasons, although not only fot this.
The customer wanted to introduce this project to his audio system as an unusual, interesting-looking element but with a practical application.
The whole thing was created on the basis of a ready-made BELKIN F9D1000-15 strip, which was used as the "donor" for the lion's share of components.
To give a visually interesting color effect, the new casing for the strip was made of Asian MERBAU wood with a warm brown-orange color with darker streaks. Its natural color was very well emphasized by the poly-acrylic varnish with a satin finish.
Practically all the elements were transferred from the factory BELKIN strip, in the same arrangement - except the original power cable - replaced with another one, made to order by PROSPER CABLES from Texas. The cable was equiped with a large FURUTECH plug.
The new casing was also covered inside with copper tape to create a Faraday cage, to protect internals from external interference.
The whole thing also received a set of specially machined feet made of solid brass, contrasting well with the color of the wood.
