The project, completed as a custom order for a client from the USA, is an elegant power strip that combines modern technical solutions with refined aesthetics. A key feature was the inclusion of American-type outlets, tailored to meet the needs of the local user.
The power strip is an evolution of an earlier design based on the BELKIN F9D1000-15 model. It incorporates a printed circuit board along with other components such as a rocker-style illuminated power switch, indicator LED, and a fuse with a protective cover — all of which ensure both functionality and user safety.
The enclosure is made of solid oak wood, stained black, giving the entire piece an elegant and refined appearance. Additionally, the use of stainless steel feet ensures both stability and a visually appealing design. The milled top section houses five Audiocrast USAC Duplex double outlets, allowing for multiple devices to be connected simultaneously.
The internal wiring was carefully designed and assembled using high-quality 1.5 mm² oxygen-free copper wires, ensuring excellent conductivity and minimizing energy loss. As per the client’s request, the strip features a female IEC socket instead of an integrated power cord with a plug.
Finally, the surface of the power strip was coated with a durable polyacrylic lacquer, which enhances mechanical resistance and provides a satin finish — highlighting both the elegance and craftsmanship of the entire project. The result is a unique fusion of modern technology and classic aesthetics, making this power strip not only highly functional but also a standout design element within any interior.
