audio platform MB-PP50 for EMOTIVA BassX Ta-100
The display platform, with the factory designation MB-PP50, was custom-made by one of the former customers, who wanted a simple, yet elegant-looking base for his Emotiva BasX TA-100 integrated amplifier.
The platform was to be in the form of a single 30 mm thick top, with four solid legs attached to the top with metric screws. In terms of the top, the abvious choice was the Asian Merbau, which is exceptionally attractive due to its colors and grain. The wood after full mechanical treatment, including milling of the edges with a 45-degree cutter, received a finish in the form of a Danish oil base coat and a finish made of three layers of hard, hydrophobic high-quality wax.
The platform was based on specially lathed, black polyamide feet with a diameter of 50 mm and a height of 30 mm. The feet are equipped with protective inserts made of compacted cork mass on both sides, protecting the bottom part of the platform against scratching and the surface on which it can stand. The feet are attached to the table top with black M6 allen screws.
