1st RAY is the fourth set of proprietary loudspeakers from the SHUBI manufacture.
The speakers were made in a neo-vintage style which provides a certain visual versatility and the ability to adaptation to many kinds of rooms.
This classic form, combined with appropriately developed acoustic solutions, provides an exceptionally pleasant sound and is also a great introduction for people who want something more from music.
It is a closed, 2-way design, based on a silk dome tweeter and a cellulose MID-woofer (6”). However, its greatest advantage is the use of a passive radiator, which, thanks to appropriate balancing and cooperation with the low-midrange speaker, supports the reproduction of the low frequencies.
A properly designed crossover with a crossover point at 3200 Hz ensures balanced work of all drivers, operating smoothly in the range of 39 Hz to 22 kHz.
The efficiency of 89 dB allows for easy control of the speakers by current-efficient amplifiers, even with a small power of around 10 W per channel.
1st RAY set works perfectly with tube amplifiers in class A, but they work equally well in combination with solid state units in class A/B, which extract a lot of detail from them.
The speakers are designed for rooms with an area of 10 u[ to 25-30 m2. The sound may vary depending on the sound source used, as well as the acoustic adaptation and layout of the room.
The loudspeaker's cabinets are a solid construction made of MDF board with a total thickness of 28 mm.
Decorative modified veneer with an amber color contrasts well with the black fronts.
